Before heading back to the ship we walked around the downtown area a bit. We went into a big tent with lots of vendors, Di haggled the price of a necklace and saw a huge rat.

After our sail we opted to get off in paradise island and check out Atlantis. We walked along the beach, which was filled with very aggressive salesmen but beautiful water and then split a slice of pizza.
Thursday – part 1: snorkeling/sail

We arrived in Nassau on Thursday morning. We got up and got off the boat early to meet up with our sailing / snorkeling adventure at 9am. We had detailed directions but could not find the boat, we walked up and down the pier filled with people trying to sell us other things and we were certain we had missed the boat, when someone let us know that they always ran late. A few minutes later a big group from the ship joined up with us and the boat arrived.
We headed out to the reef, snorkeled for about an hour, sailed back and enjoyed some rum punch.
Tuesday night & Wed / Stirrup cay

Tuesday night we saw comedian Willie Farrel, not to be confused with the awesomeness of Will Farrel, it was not that great. After that we went to a dancing with the stars show that was absolutely hilarious. Lots of silly dancing and one old dude that played a lot of grab ass on the dance floor. It was kind of comfortable.
Wed morning we arrived in the Bahamas, at great stirrup cay, ncl’s private island.
We spend the day laying in the sun and walking along the beautiful water.
After our day at the beach we headed back to the ship, took a dip in the pool, grabbed dinner, and saw a great comedian Jean Pierre.

I got a feeling..

Woohoo. That tonights gonna be a good night. Tonights the night let’s live it up!
Back to the boat just in time for the sunset. This phone man. Doesn’t capture anything awesome except…

This! Seriously we leave for a week. Rachel gets service day three and is on the phone with Claire. Just sayin.

Again, beautiful sunset over mediocre scenery. Pinks and purples and oranges oh my!

We are slated for more professional photos. What does thAt mean? Rachel becomes my personal stylist. She brought the tiniest straightener ever. Takes hours to tame this mass of volumized static.
Headed out for the evening. Hopefully we will actually take some pictures and have some actual adventures
. Like the pub crawl.
Oh wait. Note the ripped jeans. What! Story of my life. Diane wears a dress and Rachel thinks dressing up means not wearing a Tshirt with a logo.

Kicking off day three!

Good morning day three! Woke up this morning And stepped onto the balcony to be greeted by warm sunshine!! Look land ho! Those tiny white specs in the distance are buildings. Camera phone doesnt do it justice.

Rachel and I went to breakfast and then read for a bit on our balcony. Our day is thrown off cuz of the Internet. Its back. There’s no pulling Rachel away when it has been MIA for two days
.
We are docking at port canaveral in about 45 minutes. We will be in Florida all day. Rachel and I will be hitting cocoa beach and Ron jons surf shop. Interesting fact. Something about the best surfing spot on eastern seaboard. Maybe I’ll give you actual facts later.
Also! OMG! We got professional photos taken maybe I can snap a picture of that for those interested. SUPER gay!

So pub crawl events during spring break week are well attended.
Here we are waiting as they got all 175 caskets ready.

Then we chugged beers, took whiskey shots, sang living on a prayer at the karaoke bar, had sangria, attended a toga party, decided we were too old for toga parties…

Drank martinis, watched more karaoke, and then called it a night.

Our first night at sea was rough, ironically not due to the pub crawl but to the crazy storm and a tornado(allegedly).
Monday we took it easy. Breakfast, gym, tried to watch where the wild things are (but left cuz it wasn’t that good), went to trivia….

We dressed up, got our photos taken, enjoyed a Tex-Mex dinner, watched a newlywed game show (hilarious!), drank beers, listened to some live music.

Departing

Ryan drove us to the port in manhattan this morning (thanks Ryan!), we boarded, enjoyed a buffet lunch, a seminar on eating, an emergency drill, a litlle live music with views of the statue a liberty, and a run at the gym. Now we are getting ready for dinner and a pub crawl tonight.

Got up super early to drive Claire and Ryan to Reno for their flight home. Got back to the hotel, packed our stuff up, headed over to the cabin ad spent some more qt with our friends, and then went to in and out burger for lunch.
Tried to catch ip with the fam in sandy cove but missed them. Enjoyed a slow drive up the east coast of the lake.
Then headed to dooner park and checked out the emmigrant museum.
We continued our drive to sac, saw some beautiful views, but got tired and lost radio reception for a while.
Once in Sacramento, we headed to old Sacramento, did a quick walk around and got dinner. I had hoped to have a nice romantic dinner on our last night but it turned into a rushed (since we were worried about getting to the airport) meal of horrible Mexican food. It was a damn shame.
We didn’t let a poor last meal kill our spirits though. This was a great trip. We absolutly loved the Reno / Tahoe area and had a super awesome time with friends and family.
Now we are waiting to board our red eye flight home. Di scored exit row tickets, yeah for extra leg room.
Wicked mega west coast party

For dianes birthday we went over our friends cabin for a delicious Mexican feast, sangria, mojitos, karaoke and birthday cake. At first we were all a little shy but after a few songs we were belting out tunes. We went out to lakeside inn for drinks and more karaoke. Super dive bar filled with smoke and townies. We sung a few songs, witnessed the start of a bar fight and decided we should call it a night.

It’s been a great last 24 hours. Kate and Scotts wedding last night was beautiful. We loved being able to be there for their celebration of love and had a blast dancing the night away.
We got up this am and went to breakfast with sharifa, Eric, Erica and TJ and then headed to the beach. There was parasailing, jet skiing, swimming, bbqing, relaxing in the sun. It was an awesome day!
Tess and Claire on the boat before thier adventure.

The ride from Carson city to tahoe was beautiful.

Claire next to the fire table.
Cheers!
This morning we drover over to the house where a bunch of fam was staying for a great homecooked breakfast.

On our way to tahoe we decided to grab lunch in Carson city. We didn’t expect much, and were pleasently suprised. The downtown area was super cute. We grabbed a fresh delicious lunch at a cafe with funky decorations and inspirational quotes everywhere.
After lunch we walked around that area a bit and discovered the joy of jumping photos (photos to come later.) we attemped to find some hidden cavern but it was hidden and instead we took a walk along some river.
